With the advent of making tax digital for VAT and now Income Tax, HMRC has recognised that the tax and accounting work can be done electronically and there is no need for copious amounts of paper based record keeping and paper based filings.

With the recent COVID-19 pandemic that effected businesses all over the world. New work systems and patterns had to be adopted and there was a migration to remote and online work. We are able to maintain a high level of productivity and noticed that our time to work ration improved significantly during this time.

Making Tax digital

AGA Accountants will be MTD ready for Income Tax which is due to go live in 2024. Preparations are well underway for Making Tax digital for Income tax internally to support our clients in this transition so we can make it as pain free as possible.

Digital record keeping

We encourage our clients to send us their records electronically. If you are an existing client and are not sending your records electronically already and are currently sending them in paper form to us we can give you a 10% discount for doing so.

Clients meetings

We have a national portfolio of clients all over the UK, over 90% of which are already serviced remotely and have mostly come through referral. Our clients know we are professional and regulated and or hand to provide professional advice and respond to emails and this gives them a peace of mind.

Although we welcome our clients to our offices and visit our clients at their premises on a regular basis, we are able to carry out these meetings remotely as well. Thus saving time and allowing flexibility to reschedule meetings at short notice.

The migration to a digital work setting will only support our competitive fee structure going forward.
